PowerYield, a company specialised in the development and construction of solar energy projects in Portugal, saw its integration into the Green Yellow Group as an opportunity to take a new step forward and reposition its brand.

Shift’s work focused on defining the strategy, strengthening the perception of robustness, and adding an international dimension to the brand, positioning PowerYield as a benchmark technical and financial partner.

Context

A Strategic Step Forward in Clean Energy

The energy transition in Portugal has been gaining scale and sophistication, attracting international players and raising the level of demand in the sector. In this context, PowerYield, with a strong track record in the development and construction of solar projects, saw its integration into the GreenYellow Group as a decisive moment to accelerate its positioning.

More than just a new investor, this step represented an opportunity to strengthen the brand’s presence on the international stage and reinforce trust among strategic partners, clients, and financial institutions.

Challenge

Energising an innovative brand

The entry of GreenYellow as an investor created an opportunity for communication and brand positioning. PowerYield now embraces an international presence, and its identity needed to reflect this new dimension while ensuring independence, credibility, and closeness with its clients and financial partners.

It was essential to:

• Position PowerYield as the preferred partner for large-scale projects;

• Validate its know-how through association with a major international group;

• Preserve core values such as rigor, clarity, and proximity;

• Communicate ambition without losing the authenticity of its original identity;

• Update the brand message from “Solar energy, for sustainability” to “Smart solutions that generate value”, reflecting the evolution of the market, which already recognises the environmental benefits of solar energy and now seeks solutions that maximize return and efficiency.

Solution

We developed this rebranding around three main pillars:

1. Clarity and strength in communication and image – Building a strong and assertive narrative focused on the company’s new reality. Designing a solid visual identity aligned with the brand’s maturity, able to convey trust and international reach.

2. Brand consistency – Creating a complete brand guidelines kit, business cards, email signatures, and institutional materials to ensure uniformity across all touch-points.

3. Digital and commercial projection – Developing a commercial presentation, a corporate presentation, and a temporary landing page that translate the company’s new value proposition and vision.
